Make Money Online By Outsourcing Your Website Design
On the Internet you’ve got a very short period of time to make an impression on a visitor to your site.
If you look at your traffic statistics, which you can do once you’ve got your website up by going into the control panel, you’ll notice that the majority of your visitors leave within 30 seconds or less.
This can be kind of disheartening. You spend the time and energy to get things up and then they leave within 30 seconds. That’s the name of the game on the Internet though because it’s very fast-moving and people are going from site to site.
When you realize you’ve only got 30 seconds or less to engage a customer, you’ve got to understand that there’s strategy behind getting your sites’ visitors to get engaged? How do I get them to be drawn through my sales letter, and then ultimately get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase so I can make money online?
The first thing is the design of your website. If you are not a good designer, meaning design tasks are something that’s taking more than 5% of your day – which I would imagine would be the case for many of you if you’re just getting started – then you’re probably doing the wrong thing by trying to design it yourself. Eighty-five percent of your customers will leave because your site doesn’t look professional or like you know what you’re doing.
It would be much better for you to invest that $100 or so with a web designer who can create a template or craft a design you could develop moving forward, but let them do the initial work in terms of putting it together. If not, you’re going to lose 85% of your customers. You think you’re saving time, energy and money by doing it yourself versus having to order it from somebody else and waiting a couple days to get them to do it for you and spending $100, but you’ll lose 85% of your sales if it doesn’t look like a function like a solid and professional product. Again, if web design is not something that’s in your bag of tricks, I would encourage you to outsource it.
